A group of eight teachers from the Departments of Experimental Sciences and Mathematics and Informatics of the Nuno de Santa Maria de Tomar School Group held, from 14 to 21 July 2019, in Prague, a training course entitled “Promoting STEM Education through teacher training” under the Erasmus+ project, promoted by DOREA Educational Institute WTF.
During this training, knowledge was gained and skills developed, with emphasis on:
a. Deepening of knowledge in STEM and innovation.
b. Construction/design of STEM activities for students.
c. Empowerment to discover and use different teaching and learning resources.
d. Training to redesign and implement the curriculum in a STEM setting.
e. Development of skills to work with the STEM methodology.
f. Student motivation strategies through STEM learning.
g. Improved performance in terms of communication and social interaction.
h. Development of skills in terms of communication in English.
