Jobshadowing in Magdeburg

Between the 29th of August and the 2nd of September 2021, under the Erasmus+ program, a Job Shadowing project took place, involving three teachers from the Nuno School Grouping of Santa Maria de Tomar, Portugal. The school that received our teachers was Ganztagsschule Zielitz Sekundarschule, in Zielitz - Magdeburg, Germany.

Here is a reflection from the participating teachers:

"The challenge of participating in an ERASMUS+ Project in Job Shadowing, at a German school, was always assumed as a clear possibility for us to improve our personal and professional skills, thus aiming to contribute to the students' academic success.

Furthermore, the sharing of innovative and diversified strategies/methodologies, as well as diverse resources, will certainly have implications in the context of the classroom, providing, reciprocally, very enriching experiences.

It should also be noted that this type of projects also mobilizes various skills in terms of interpersonal and sociolinguistic relationships that are extremely relevant to our teaching practice and that will necessarily have repercussions on the interaction with our target audience, our students .

In a world as complex as the one in which we operate, in which the paradigm of constant change and renewal is a reality, the attitudinal posture of teachers will always have to go, in our view, through the openness to experiencing other experiences. Confronting the difference, being versatile and flexible are practices that are perpetuated in our daily life at school.

The present mobility was thus unequivocally an asset for our contribution to enable the development of an increasingly inclusive, innovative and multicultural grouping, in which well-being and educational success are a constant. ."
